Crafter and House Sitter

Friday, December 9, 2011

I purchased some led battery operated tea lights so just had to have a play making some luminaries to try them out.  Found the smaller ones where better as the lights aren't overly bright.

The two red ones where cut out on the Pazzles machine with Stampin' up! Cherry Cobbler card stock and lined with a heavier weight vellum. I used sticky strip to put it all together. The two designs came with the Pazzles software.

The cone shape one was a pattern I found here    I used some patterned vellum I found in my stash and decided to paint over the pattern with Ice stickles.  I didn't realize it would actually bubble a bit and make the vellum three dimensional but it looks great . Sparkly with a raised design.

Rain Rain go away

What's with the cold weather and the rain.  Not much fun when you want to go out and play.
Cards for Ryan and Rheanna.  Hope they like these little cuties
All made with Stampin' U! products (as the card stock cuts so well on the Pazzles machine)  and  I used glossy accents for the rain drops.
The Pazzles file was from Treasure Box Designs.

Swaps for Qld Regional Seminar in Brisbane

This will be the first Stampin' Up! event that I have attended and getting excited as I have heard they are so much fun.
I have been busy over the last day or two making some match book style swaps with tea bags and chocolates inside.
I used some of the products I got in my Starter Kit  and enjoyed creating.
Can't wait to buy some more of the papers and card stock as the colours and so nice and bright.

A Card for Debbie, Andrew and Liza

Wanted to let Debbie and Andrew in Ballarat know that I was home safe and sound and bring them up to date with Brisbane news so decided to make a card and sent a letter instead of emailing. Styled it after their
much loved cat "Liza" . I looked after Liza for a month and really enjoyed her company .
This is a Pazzles cut file called  "Just hanging around" from this site  that has the cuties files ever. Again trying to use use up all my stash papers.

Christmas Tree Tag Card

This is another Pazzles cut I decided to have a go at and it creates a great little Tree Tag Card for Chrissy,
The file was from a wonderful site for any one with a digital cutting machine.  My tree is quiet plain compared with her stunning creation.

A Treat for Ryan

Ryan (my 4 1/2 year old Grandson) just loves to get mail and as Genelle sent me a little packet of goodies (Thanks heaps Genelle)  I decided to give the Treat Cups a try.  I combined it with a Pazzles cut and it turned out pretty good.  I had to order some of the Round and Heart Treat Cups as they  will make lots of fun cards.

Ballarat House Sit

Back to Brisbane after my first month long House Sit in Ballarat.
The cold weather  was a bit of a shock but the gardens were just beautiful with all the blossoming trees and scrubs. Such a change from Brisbane with all the wonderful old houses of Ballarat with lots of character and history.
Ballarat was a real surprise and a lot bigger than I imagined and I had a great time exploring. Even walked right round the Lake
I House Sat for a lovely couple Debbie and Andrew, looking after their beloved Liza, a beautiful talkative pudda with heaps of personality.
She was my friend instantly and loved to cuddle up on the bed at night keeping me company.
Debbie and Andrew spent a month is America touring a lot of National Parks with Andrew achieving his goal of photographing a waterfall a day.
Check out his wonderful  photos here
Loved my time with them all but did miss the crafting believe it or not
